Moving Day and The Perfect Storm!

So, today is moving day. Gillian and I spent all day getting ready and packing up the last or our belongings in our AirBNB that we have been staying in.  I guess Florida is mad that I’m leaving because the skies are turning gray and beginning to cry.

Dallas Waldron with Made To Move and his crew are packing our car and a U-Haul for us and then we are off to the storage unit.  Gillian and I sold or donated most of our furniture before this trip for a couple of reasons.  The first being that most of the stuff was purchased for a 3,000 sq ft home and we are moving into a 1400 sq ft apartment.  There just isn’t room for all of it.  The second reason is that we are viewing this as a way to completely start over.

We have been blessed with so much, so we gave a large amount to friends or to young couples that are starting out.  The lady that bought our home also paid for a good bit of the furniture we had.  The way this deal came together was nothing short of amazing and an actual manifestation of our dreams.  The important thing about manifestation is to remember that manifesting without action is dreaming or wishing.  I will talk more about that at some other point but it’s true.

As the storage unit was finally loaded onto the truck and all of the goodbyes that could be said were said, I jumped in the truck and headed for my son’s home in Titusville.  He will drive the truck up to Portsmouth for us in a day or two while my wife and I drive up in “Forest,” our nickname for our new Subaru Forester All Wheel Drive.

Once we dropped of the truck we headed for Jacksonville where we met with some dear friends. The Gregorys and the Bensusans.  You will see these lovely ladies, or may have already seen them in segments of my youtube channel Dynamic Life Perspectives and Tarot With An Attitude.  The company was great and it was good seeing them before we went back to our hotel to prepare for the drive ahead of us.

There are 2 things that are on my mind.  Leaving home doesn’t really feel like leaving home. Why is that? Is that because it never really felt like it was my home to begin with?  I don’t know but I want to talk about that in the Dynamic Life Perspectives section from both a psychological point of view and a spiritual one.

The other is that my family is now scattered all over Florida and my daughter is in Denver.  It will be hard for all of us to be together at the same time.  This hurts my heart but I am so happy they are living their lives as they want to.

Well, Florida is getting even sadder as the crying skies are getting worse.  There are parts of you I will miss and most of that revolves around people and experiences.

I will write tomorrow to tell you how the trip is going.  There is so much I want to talk about and believe me it’s coming.  Time to get some rest and get ready as the adventure begins first thing in the morning.
